Airport Assistance Services

Fast Track Assistance

Airport Assist gets you through PVG's "Easy Security" lanes in T1 and T2, cutting queue time dramatically for travelers with tight connections between the main terminals and satellite halls.

Meet and Greet

You get to meet your greeter at the aerobridge. It’s free movement after this, your greeter handles all the commotion and keeps your clear of the transfer corridors between T1 & T2

Lounge Access

We arrange entry to flagship lounges like the China Eastern No. 77 (with its noodle bar and showers) or Air China's T2/S2 lounge, even if your ticket class wouldn't normally qualify.

VIP Airport Assistance

For full privacy, we coordinate tarmac meet-and-greet, private vehicle transfer, and dedicated VIP lounge handling of immigration and baggage formalities.

Family & Special Needs

Our staff assist with prams, wheelchairs, and navigating PVG's family restrooms and baby-changing stations, and help you avoid the longest walks between the satellite concourses.

Baggage & Porter Help

From check-in to baggage claim, our porters handle your luggage across PVG's considerable distances, including the automated people-mover transfers between terminals.

Transit Assistance

For onward connections, we manage your transfer between T1 and T2 (or between satellite halls), rebooking coordination, and any baggage recheck needed for the next leg.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • Confirm your terminal before you land. T1 and T2 serve different alliances, and airlines occasionally shift slot assignments — check your boarding pass, not just what you remember.
  • Budget extra time for satellite transfers. S1 and S2 are enormous; the automated train ride plus walking can eat 20–30 minutes each way.
  • Use Easy Security if eligible. Selected checkpoints in T1 and T2 offer expedited lanes for qualifying passengers.
  • China's visa-free transit rules can save your layover. Many nationalities qualify for extended transit windows — verify current eligibility at the National Immigration Administration.
  • Book lounge access in advance during peak hours. The morning and the evening slots of the lounges fill fast due to priority holders, so ensure to book it at the earliest.
  • Grab a SIM or eSIM on arrival. China Telecom and China Mobile counters in both terminals issue local SIMs with your passport.
  • Recheck baggage only if your itinerary requires it. Most single-ticket international connections auto-transfer bags — ask your airline desk to confirm.
  • Monitor your flight through the airport app or boards. Gate and terminal changes happen; don't rely solely on your original confirmation.
  • Minimum layover guidance: allow at least 2.5–3 hours for international-to-international connections given the distances between halls.
  • For overnight stays, the Da Zhong Airport Hotel sits directly between T1 and T2 above the Maglev/Metro station — the most convenient option if you don't want to leave the airport.
